CamStudio is a screencasting program for Microsoft Windows released as free software. The software renders videos in an AVI format. It can also convert these AVIs into Flash Video format, embedded in SWF files. CamStudio is written in Microsoft Visual C++

HOW TO USE CAMSTUDIO

- Open CamStudio.

-Select the region in the desktop you want to record. Choose "Fixed Region" if you want to record a specific region. Choose "Full Screen" if you want to record the entire screen and choose "Region" if you want to manually select and adjust the region you want to record.

 -Change the audio settings. Select "Record Audio from Microphone" if you want to record audio from a microphone that is connected to your computer. Select "Record Audio from Speakers" to record audio from stereo mix. Recording audio from speakers allow yous capture sound from games, music and other activities you are doing on your computer.

 -Begin screen recording with CamStudio. Click the red button to start recording. When you are done recording, click "Stop." You can choose to save the video to a specific location or delete it.

CamStudio is an open source software by RenderSoft that allows you to record your desktop and other activities you are performing on your computer. Camstudio saves videos as Audio Video Interleave files (AVI), which are recognizable by most multimedia players and video editors. After saving the videos, you can edit them with a video editor or upload them to the Internet.
